Jose Rizal: a hero beyond measures.

A hero indeed worthy of respect, well who isn’t? Jose Rizal is known all over the country, he is famous for being the “national hero” but at some point, in certain occasions, it stops in that thought, the national hero . Many people know about him having that title yet when asked how did he become one, very few could answer back it with supporting details. It is just the repeated statement which says “he died for our country, for us” but aren’t the other heroes also like that? offered their life for our country, for us? Let me tell you, there is more to it than meets the eye. Along the discourse of this subject, I get to know Rizal deeply by learning his life and works. My PI10 journey has been fun. It taught me lots of things about Rizal, himself. A Perception

         When we look through history books, it is not surprising that parts of it are about the life and works of Rizal. Our national hero is very popular and highly regarded for his martyrdom.   In a world that is deprived of fairness, how could we survive?             Hardships are a part and parcel of life and the only armor a person could have to keep these distressful events at bay is a positive mind.   “As with the butterfly, adversity is necessary to build character in people”. Yet most of us, if not all, are aware of this undeniable truth, under an extreme misfortune, it is hard to withhold emotions and have a positive mentality.   Some people pinpoint that “it is just in the mind of the persona; you could be positive if you chose to do so”. Retraction of Rizal

Everyone is being asked to give their fair share in accordance to the contribution in our country. But during Rizal’s time, it was chaotic. Most people do not realize their entitlement instead they tend to be compliant of the current situation and be deprived of those rights which was later appraised by Rizal through his works and, also, his compelling nature.
